4ELEMENTA ROSSO 2024 – IGT Terre Siciliane Red Wine

The international flavour of the Bordeaux blend meets the energy of the Sicilian sun.

The 2024 4Elementa Rosso is a wine of extraordinary elegance and structure, the result of a skillful blend of four world-famous noble grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot . This internationally renowned red finds its unique terroir in Sicily, enhancing its richness, complemented by 12 months of barrique aging. The result is a warm, enveloping, and velvety wine, created for those seeking an intense, complex, and profound sensory experience.

Tasting Notes (The Sensory Experience)

  • To the eye: It presents itself in the glass with a deep, intense and consistent ruby red colour, with elegant garnet hues that testify to its long and careful passage in wood.

  • On the nose: A broad, aristocratic, and ever-evolving bouquet. The exuberance of ripe red fruit and plum (typical of Merlot) blends with notes of blackcurrant and the characteristic noble herbaceous notes and sweet pepper (Cabernet). The 12 months in barrique impart a very fine tertiary finish: aromas of vanilla, dark chocolate, cigar box, coffee, and a delicate spiciness of black pepper and cloves.

  • On the palate: It's majestic, full-bodied, and densely structured. The entry is warm, but the evolution is incredibly smooth: the tannins, thanks to the long aging, are perfectly smooth, rounded, and silky. The robustness of the Cabernet and the dense texture of the Petit Verdot ensure excellent persistence, leaving the palate satisfied with a long, aristocratic, and spicy finish.

Food Pairings.

A blend of this structure and importance requires succulent, elaborate and flavour-rich dishes:

  • Great Red Meats: Exceptional with fillet Wellington, grilled rib eye steak, sliced steak with red wine reduction, or baked rump steak.

  • Game and Stews: The ideal companion for wild boar stews, beef braises, hare stews, or slow-cooked braised dishes.

  • Traditional First Courses: Perfect with pappardelle with wild boar or hare ragù, rich baked lasagna, and pasta dishes with intense meat sauces.

  • Mature Cheeses and Cured Meats: It pairs magnificently with mature Sicilian pecorino cheeses, Parmigiano Reggiano aged over 36 months, intense blue cheeses (such as Castelmagno or spicy Gorgonzola) and fine cured meats.

  • The ideal occasion: A business dinner, an important festive occasion, or as a supreme "meditation" wine to be enjoyed at the end of the evening, sip after sip.
